This landscape photo was taken near the Rockingham County Fair Grounds at the inaugural "Gathering of Eagles." The ‘haunted-house’ overlooking the fair was most likely a nice manor at one time. When I discovered it, the structure was decrepit, surrounded by barbed wire, and being prepped for demolition. I remember thinking what a shame it was as the view of the surrounding Shenandoah district from its front porch would still be magnificent.
